Word of the Day
Kaylie Stoner’s word of the day is hoarfrost. Which is a grayish-white crystalline deposit of frozen water vapor formed in clear still weather. Hoarfrost.
NO SHAME
Our first NO SHAME of the year is on Friday, September 19th at 7:00PM in the White Box. To be in the show you must turn in a NO SHAME application to Mrs. McKnight in the choir room by THIS FRIDAY, September 12th. You must successfully perform your piece in its entirety for one academic and one arts teacher and they must sign off on your paper application (found in the choir room). Please attend McKnight’s flex tomorrow to learn more about how to successfully prepare for NO SHAME (Flex is called ‘NO SHAME 101’). Thursday’s flex will be for NO SHAME auditions – come if you’d like to perform your piece for an arts and academic teacher at the same time.
Block 5 Practice Room Usage
Hi PiM Community! This is a friendly reminder that the practice rooms are available for PRACTICING and ART MAKING only! This does not include laying on the ground or hanging out with friends – sorry! But, the cafeteria is a great place to do those things! One last thing – if you are going to borrow an instrument from the PiM Instrumental Room please check in with Rovegno first – we’ve had some student instruments be used without permission and that’s not so cool! Thanks for your understanding and cooperation! Woo!
PiM National Honor Society
Interested Juniors and Seniors have until THIS FRIDAY to submit the application form to join the NHS. Reminder – you must have a 3.3 GPA and at least 10 hours of volunteer/community service. Application form can be found in your Advisory Google classroom.
PiM Crew Fall Meeting
Do you have something going on during Flex today but still want to learn more about how you can get involved off-stage with NO SHAME, Dracula, NeverLand, or Six? There’s still a chance for you to attend a PiM Crew meeting in Room 122 during Block 5 TOMORROW! No experience is necessary and we’ll help you learn the skills you need! See Mr. Kvale for more information.
Good Ones Magazine Info Session
Did you know that PiM has a student magazine? Good Ones Magazine is PiM’s only student-led magazine that publishes stories and photoshoots about your school and your peers. We will be hosting two info sessions for all who are interested in joining the magazine – one this Thursday, September 11th in Tegan’s room, and another next Tuesday, September 16th during Flex in the White Box. Questions? Come find Simone in the office.
11th & 12th Grade Trip to NYC over Spring Break
