Daily Announcements for 10/30/25

Word of the Day

Kaylie Stoner’s word of the day is phantasmagorical. Which describes a dreamlike, surreal, or fantastic series of bizarre images or illusions. Phantasmagorical.

Welcome to St. Thomas Representatives

Today you may see one of our visitors from the University of St. Thomas in the building. The University of St. Thomas is our authorizer, which means they are responsible for ensuring that our school meets high academic, financial, and operational standards through ongoing oversight and evaluation. – If you see one of our visitors, please take a moment to greet them and make them feel welcome here at PiM!

One Act Auditions!

“Does anyone have eyes on the Dr. Pepper?!”
Auditions for PiM’s One Act, Continuity, are in 5 days!
Tuesday, November 4th during FLEX. – If you want to audition you must sign up for the One Act audition FLEX. – To sign up for your audition, head to the One Act Google Classroom to fill out the audition form, and for all necessary materials and information. – Google Classroom codes can be found on the Continuity poster outside the Loading Dock Theatre and studio162.

Holiday NO SHAME

Auditions for the HOLIDAY NO SHAME will take place during two flex periods – November 11th and November 18th. Sign up for McKnight’s flex if you have a piece you’d like to submit for the show. There will also be a paper application to fill out (just like a regular NO SHAME). See Mrs. McKnight if you need accompaniment help.

My Eyes See Without Looking Performance

Do you enjoy experimental and/or ambient music? Do you want to see several of your peers create music using plastic bags, dead batteries, and more? Are you absolutely confused by this announcement? Well good news: you can attempt to make sense of it at the premier of Rovegno’s new composition, My Eyes See Without Looking. The piece explores 4 sonic environments inspired by nature, sculptural works by Ruth Asawa, and the journal of Henry David Thoreau. And it was specifically written for our amazing students at PiM and members in the Minneapolis Experimental Music community. The Performance is Saturday November 8th at 7PM in the White Box Theater. Admission is free, with a suggested donation of $5-15. Hope to See you there!

Random Recognition

Random recognition celebrates the achievements and community efforts of you and your peers. Today we recognize an 11th grade Theatre major – Eloise Garrido. Eloise joined PiM on Tuesday and has already made a great impression. On her very first day, she didn’t bat an eye when asked to perform a piece of text from memory—right after seeing it for the first time! She’s confident and comfortable on stage, and it’s clear that PiM is already starting to feel like home. – Congratulations, Eloise—and congratulations to the PiM community for helping our new students feel so welcomed during their first week!

Eloise – stop by the front office to pick up a certificate for a free sub sandwich!

Elita Sellner is a visionary fashion designer known for her unique ability to blend contemporary styles with timeless elegance. Born and raised in Shakopee, Minnesota, Elita’s passion for fashion was ignited by her aunt, who was a model in the 60s, which served as her aesthetic approach, celebrating femininity while embracing individuality.

In high school, Elita designed costumes for fashion shows, contributing to over 20 shows at PiM alone. She continues to sew and crochet, constantly trying to one-up herself in projects. Her current project is a new approach to business fashion, turning a more elegant cheek to once simple office wear.

After high school, Elita began working in luxury retail and high-end fashion, continuing to pursue sewing independent of her work. She is very excited to be featured at PiM as an artist in residence, hoping to teach patterning and sewing!
