My Eyes See Without Looking Performance
Do you enjoy experimental and/or ambient music? Do you want to see several of your peers create music using plastic bags, dead batteries, and more? Are you absolutely confused by this announcement? Well good news: you can attempt to make sense of it at the premier of Rovegno’s new composition, My Eyes See Without Looking. The piece explores 4 sonic environments inspired by nature, sculptural works by Ruth Asawa, and the journal of Henry David Thoreau. And it was specifically written for our amazing students at PiM and members in the Minneapolis Experimental Music community. The Performance is Saturday November 8th at 7PM in the White Box Theater. Admission is free, with a suggested donation of $5-15. Hope to See you there!
Random Recognition
Random recognition celebrates the achievements and community efforts of you and your peers. Today we recognize an 11th grade Theatre major – Eloise Garrido. Eloise joined PiM on Tuesday and has already made a great impression. On her very first day, she didn’t bat an eye when asked to perform a piece of text from memory—right after seeing it for the first time! She’s confident and comfortable on stage, and it’s clear that PiM is already starting to feel like home. – Congratulations, Eloise—and congratulations to the PiM community for helping our new students feel so welcomed during their first week!
Eloise – stop by the front office to pick up a certificate for a free sub sandwich!
