Black Excellence Assembly
Today during Block 4, students will gather in the Loading Dock Theatre for the Black Excellence Showcase. To accommodate the assembly, today’s schedule has been modified. There will be two showings: one at 12:40 PM and another at 1:35 PM. – Your Block 4 teacher will let you know which performance you will be attending.
Group 1: Brady, Cole, Ganzer, Rovegno, Miller, Nordberg, Petry, Syd, Sloss, Pasch, Kvale
Group 2: Calderon, McKnight, Leaf, Mortika, Swimmer, Tegan, Smith, Sun
Black History Month
Next on our long list is someone in our present lives that you should know, Ayanna Howard. Dr. Howard is a roboticist, entrepreneur, and educator. Dean of College of Engineering at Ohio State University and Writer of Sex, Race, and Robots: How to Be Human in the Age of AI. One of her biggest contributions is her involvement with the development of an autonomous Mars Rover and SnoMotes, small robots that can travel through environments too cold, icy, and dangerous for scientists.
