As a public charter school, student artists from across the Twin Cities are welcome to enroll at Performing Institute of Minnesota Arts High School.
We accept new students at the beginning of the year, as well as at the start of each academic quarter. Enrolling online as early as you can is strongly suggested to ensure ideal course selection.

Admissions Policy
PiM Arts High School is a public school and pursuant to state law, must enroll an eligible student who submits a timely application, unless the number of applications exceeds the capacity of the program, class, grade level, or building. If this occurs, students will be accepted through a lottery process.
The lottery enrollment period for the 2026-2027 school year is open from September 2, 2025 through January 5th, 2026. If necessary, the lottery will run on January 7, 2026. Students enrolling for any grade that exceeds capacity will be placed in a lottery with priority given to enrolled siblings and children of staff members.
If running a lottery is deemed unnecessary, all families will be contacted via email and students will be enrolled on Friday, January 9, 2026.
Any student who enrolls after the lottery period will be added to the program on a first-come, first-served basis.
If you are submitting enrollment for more than one student (i.e. siblings), please fill out the form completely for each student.
PiM Arts High School shall not discriminate against any student based on race, color, ethnicity, creed, religion, national origin, sex, gender identity or expression, age, marital status, familial status, status with regard to public assistance, sexual orientation, disability, intellectual ability, prior measures of achievement or aptitude, athletic or artistic ability, or for any other basis that would be unlawful for a public or charter school.

This does not preclude the school from seeking such information about a student for a lawful purpose after the school admits the student.
Information regarding an individual’s program preference/s shall not be used as part of a student’s admission determination.
