Daniel Calderon has been a teacher for over a decade and has taught everything from English to improv to film and media arts. After attending the University of Southern California for film production, Daniel went on to get his teaching degree in English education at Boise State University. Daniel returned to higher education in 2020 when he went back to school to get his masters in curriculum and instruction.
From 2016-2019 Daniel wrote, produced, edited, and hosted a popular true-crime podcast based out of Boise, Idaho. Since then Daniel has spent his time learning fiber arts, honing his photography and videography skills, and producing reality competition television shows with his students. He even dreams of, one day, returning to the world of true-crime podcasting. Daniel has lived in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Boise, and now Minneapolis! Daniel is excited to be in Minnesota and teaching at PiM and can’t wait to share his love for student news, reality television, and photo/video journalism with the students at PiM!
Theresa Ganzer is entering her fifth year of teaching in the Twin Cities, with the past two years at PiM, where she has found a true sense of community. She holds an M.Ed. from Augsburg University and a BFA in illustration from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD). Beyond the classroom Theresa works as a freelance graphic and motion designer and occasionally goes back to her roots of painting. Her paintings have been featured in multiple shows through Otherworldly Arts Collective.
An avid traveler and nature enthusiast, Theresa balances her digital work time with time spent hiking to any mountain she can find. She is highly skilled in the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, with her preferred digital art making applications being Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, as well as Procreate and Dreams. She is slowly learning Blender and is excited to get to a point where she can share that knowledge with others.
